A Fairy Tale Told at Night (1981) is a Soviet fantasy adventure you can watch online on iFILM. Director Irma Raush built the film around two Wilhelm Hauff stories — "The Inn in the Spessart" and "The Marble Heart" — wrapping them in a shared frame: two journeymen, Hugo and Edwin, lose their way in the forest and push through to an empty house.

The owner fled when rumours of brigands reached him. Inside they find a student and an apothecary, also stranded until morning. With nowhere to go and the dark outside, the four of them pass the time telling each other tales — each one stranger than the last.
