Synopsis
Hercules: The Legendary Journeys (1995), Season 5 is the fantasy-action saga you can watch online on iFILM — 22 episodes, Kevin Sorbo back as the son of Zeus. This is the fifth and final full run, and it hits harder than anything before it.
It starts with loss. A mission in Sumeria ends with Iolaus dead, and a grief-stricken Hercules walks into the underworld to bring his oldest friend home. Then comes Dahak, a demon wearing that friend's body, and an exorcism Hercules may not survive. From there the season wanders far past Greece: north to the gods Balder and Thor, sideways into a parallel netherworld, and back in time to a young Merlin facing a tyrant named Arthur of Camelot. A second Iolaus joins the road. The threat keeps climbing until the end of all things is on the table.
Shot in New Zealand by the same crew that built Xena: Warrior Princess, this season blends Greek, Norse and Arthurian myth and isn't afraid to break form — there's a bleak arc about mourning and a tongue-in-cheek episode set among the show's own writers.
