The Call of the Mermaid (2026) is a mystery series you can watch online on iFILM, set in a small town shaken by a string of ritual-style killings.

Locals have their own explanation: it's the mermaid from local legend, not a human killer. Moscow sends in Yuri Bakhtin (Andrei Frolov), a serial-crime specialist who doesn't buy any of it — until the case keeps chipping away at his certainty.

The town isn't a blank slate for Bakhtin, either. Old friends and his ex-wife (Irina Telicheva) still live there, and the suspect list keeps creeping closer to people he actually cares about.
