Synopsis
Tantara (2026) is a new Korean war drama you can watch online now on iFILM, tracing how the country's entertainment industry rose out of wartime ruins. Director Lee Yoon-jung leads a stacked cast: Song Hye-kyo, Gong Yoo, Kim Sol-hyun, Cha Seung-won, Lee Ha-nui, Na Moon-hee and Kim Jung-woo.
The story spans three decades. Korea lies in ruins after the war. Street performers and displaced families slowly give way to the country's first radio stations, film sets and recording studios — built by people with no money and no experience, only a stubborn belief that a broken nation needs songs and screens as much as roads and factories. The show carries its cast from the poverty of the 1950s to the neon-lit studios of the 1980s without skipping the decades in between.
Few Korean dramas mix genres this way — usually it's either a war chronicle or a showbiz drama, rarely both at once. If you're tired of shows about rich heirs settling old scores, this one is about people who built an industry from nothing. Stream every episode of Tantara on iFILM right now.
