Season 39

Eight episodes of German crime — that's Polizeiruf 110 Season 39 (2010), and you can watch it online on iFILM. On air since 1971, first on East German TV and then on ARD, the series hands each region to its own team of investigators.

The big shift this year is the arrival of a new Rostock pairing, Bukow and König. Their first case together is brutal: two thirteen-year-old girls turn up murdered, and the partners have to learn each other on the job. From there the season moves through the deaths of former military divers who once served as frogmen, blood money, and a shadow out of the past. Whether two such different temperaments can actually work together stays an open question. The episodes stand alone, so you can stream all episodes in sequence or pick at random.
