Synopsis
The Grand Duel (Il grande duello, 1972) — watch online on iFILM, the Italian Spaghetti Western directed by Giancarlo Santi. A weathered ex-sheriff named Clayton (Lee Van Cleef) rides into town escorting a young man called Vermeer, who stands accused of killing a powerful landowner. Clayton knows who actually pulled the trigger. He's not saying yet.
Vermeer wants more than an acquittal — he wants revenge for his father's death. Standing between both men and any kind of justice are the Saxon brothers, a ruthless trio who control the territory. Van Cleef at this point in his career was the face of the stoic loner, and Santi leans on that completely.
