Synopsis
Wake Up, Ron Burgundy: The Lost Movie (2004) is a comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Adam McKay and starring Will Ferrell, Christina Applegate, Paul Rudd, and Steve Carell, it was assembled from footage cut during production of Anchorman — discarded scenes, alternate takes, and an entire subplot that never made the theatrical release.
That subplot involves a ragtag group of would-be thieves called The Alarm Clock, who have some kind of truth they want the world to hear. New narration stitches it together into a parallel story running alongside the Ron-versus-Veronica rivalry from the original film.
It shipped on DVD in December 2004, bundled with select editions of Anchorman, so most people either missed it entirely or forgot it existed. Treating it as a standalone feature is a stretch, but as a 93-minute vault of jokes that didn't survive the edit, it's a genuine curiosity — especially if you've seen Anchorman enough times to notice which lines were swapped for which.
