Synopsis
Under the Banner of Heaven (2022), Season 1 is a seven-episode crime drama you can watch online on iFILM. Salt Lake Valley, Utah, 1984: a devout detective named Jeb Pyre takes a case that will shake his own faith.
A young woman, Brenda Lafferty, and her infant daughter are found murdered in a quiet Mormon suburb. Pyre and his partner Bill Taba start pulling at the threads of the once-respected Lafferty family, and every interview exposes how its men drifted toward fundamentalism and a deep distrust of the government. What looked like a single killing widens into a hunt for brothers Ron and Dan, a list of people still marked for "blood atonement," and an interstate manhunt. The closer Pyre gets to the truth, the harder it is to keep his badge and his scripture in the same hands.
