Synopsis
This Time Next Year (2024) is a British-German-Italian romantic comedy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Nick Moore. Minnie and Quinn share a birthday down to the minute — both born on New Year's Day, 1990, in the same London hospital — but Minnie has resented Quinn ever since he arrived first and claimed the name her mother had already picked out for her.
Thirty years on, life has taken them in opposite directions, and neither is exactly thriving. When fate throws them back into the same city on New Year's Eve, the old irritation flares up immediately. Sophie Cookson and Lucien Laviscount play the leads with an easy, combative chemistry; John Hannah and Golda Rosheuvel as their parents carry a parallel storyline that gives the film more warmth than the genre usually manages.
