Synopsis
American Dad! Season 16 — watch online on iFILM, 20 episodes from 2019. The show's first shortened season run, and the team uses the extra room to try things a full slate wouldn't allow.
Hayley and Jeff give up their apartment and start living in a van. Roger gets Stan access to Francine's dreams when Stan becomes fixated on whatever is in there. Steve takes on Rogu — Roger's detached living tumor — as a babysitting job to prove to Francine he can handle responsibility. Klaus leaves the family after one harassment too many, and one episode jumps fifteen years forward to his funeral: the reunion is quietly uncomfortable. Snot's mother starts selling a homemade dipping sauce, gets very rich very fast, and that reshuffles the entire social order in Steve's friend group. Stan blows an inheritance on Broadway rights.
Twenty episodes instead of twenty-two feels like an editorial choice rather than a cut: less filler, and the unusual set pieces — dreams, a fifteen-year time skip, Rogu as an independent creature — land better for it. Watch American Dad! Season 16 all episodes online on iFILM.
