Synopsis

Tohru Honda is sixteen and quietly living in a tent in the woods. Her mother died in a car accident; her father passed earlier; her grandfather's house went into renovation. Rather than lean on anyone, she managed alone. When her classmate Yuki Sohma discovers where she's been sleeping, she gets invited to move in with him and his family. The Sohmas are welcoming — and they carry a secret. Thirteen members of the family transform into the animals of the Chinese zodiac when embraced by someone of the opposite sex. The curse sounds whimsical. It isn't.
