The Hallow

The Hallow (2015) is an Irish creature-horror you can watch online on iFILM. A London conservationist named Adam moves into a remote house deep in the woods with his wife and baby son, sent to survey the trees for clearing. The villagers warn him off the land. He ignores them.

Something old lives in that forest, and it does not like trespassers. As night falls, a fungal, demonic infection starts spreading through the trees and toward the family, and Adam has to barricade a crumbling house against things he can barely see. The threat works on his body as much as on the doors and windows.

Corin Hardy's first feature leans on practical animatronic monsters and a real, dripping Irish wood rather than wall-to-wall CGI, which gives the dread a physical weight. Joseph Mawle and Bojana Novakovic sell two parents cornered with no clean way out. Good pick if you want folklore horror that earns its scares instead of jump-scaring on a timer.
