The Contract

The Contract (2006) is a survival thriller you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Bruce Beresford and built around two men who refuse to back down. Ex-cop Ray takes his teenage son into a mountain wilderness, hoping a hiking trip might mend a grieving family.

Then they find Frank — a contract killer in handcuffs who has just slipped away from a prison transport. Ray decides to march him back to the authorities himself. Bad call. Frank's crew is already tracking them through the trees, armed and patient. Morgan Freeman makes the assassin quietly terrifying, while John Cusack plays a decent man in way over his head.

It runs a tight 96 minutes, no filler, just a chase tightening with every mile of forest. The pull here isn't gunfire but the cat-and-mouse between a hardened pro and a stubborn father protecting his kid.
