Synopsis
Mortal Kombat Legends: Cage Match (2023) is an animated action film you can watch online on iFILM. Cocky rising star Johnny Cage decides to track down his co-star Jennifer after she vanishes from set.
What starts as a missing-person hunt drags the self-obsessed action hero into a city full of shadows. Beneath the glamour, a secret society runs dark rituals, and the bloodthirsty warriors of the Netherrealm are already circling. Joel McHale voices Cage with perfect smarm; the cast also includes Jennifer Grey and Kelly Hu. This one earns its hard R — gore, dismemberment and fatalities included.
Director Ethan Spaulding plays it as a love letter to VHS-era action: 80 minutes of relentless fights, neon style and tongue-in-cheek swagger.
