Synopsis
Joseph (1995) is a biblical epic TV film directed by Roger Young — watch online on iFILM. Paul Mercurio plays the favored son of Jacob who is sold into slavery by his own brothers and delivered to Egypt, where a senior court official named Potiphar takes him in. Ben Kingsley frames the entire story as narrator, lending it a grave authority. The cast also includes Martin Landau, Monica Bellucci, Alice Krige, and Leslie Ann Warren.
The film runs close to three hours, following Joseph from the slave market through a false accusation, years in an Egyptian prison, and finally to the moment when his ability to interpret dreams brings him before Pharaoh himself. From captive to prime minister, governing the country through seven years of famine — and eventually facing the brothers who sold him. The production spanned Germany, Italy, and the United States, and the scale shows.
Part of TNT's Bible Collection series, Joseph earned several television awards on release. It's a straightforward, well-resourced retelling that takes the source material seriously and doesn't cut corners on the story's scope. Stream Joseph (1995) online on iFILM.
