Synopsis
Be Afraid (2017) is an American horror-thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Soon after moving his family to a quiet Pennsylvania town, John Chambers starts suffering sleep paralysis — and in those frozen moments he sees figures that have no business being in the room.
The things keep to the shadows, visible only from the corner of an eye. John writes it off as frayed nerves at first, but the nightmare won't stay in the bedroom: the entities want his seven-year-old son. Pulling at the town's past, he uncovers an ugly truth — a doorway to another world sits on his own land, and the clock to save the boy is nearly out.
Director Drew Gabreski builds the dread around "shadow people," a piece of folklore familiar to anyone who's ever locked up between sleep and waking. Brian Krause of Charmed takes the lead. No big budget, no marquee names — just a steady bet on mood and creeping paranoia. For fans of quiet horror about the things that come at night, Be Afraid (2017) is on iFILM.
