A young conductor named Takt forms a pact with one of them, called Destiny, and the two cross a hollowed-out America to give sound back to the world. Animated by MAPPA and Madhouse, the show ties its heroine to Beethoven's Fifth — which is why the action is staged, quite literally, to a classical score.
