Synopsis
Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman (1993–1998) is a Western drama you can watch online on iFILM. After her father dies, wealthy Boston heiress Michaela Quinn walks away from a comfortable life and heads west to practice medicine in the rough frontier town of Colorado Springs.
The town needs a doctor — it just wasn't expecting a woman. Michaela (Jane Seymour) has to prove herself patient by patient, often outdoing the male physicians who doubt her. Along the way she takes in three orphaned children and grows close to Sully (Joe Lando), a quiet frontiersman who lives between two worlds. Around them: the Cheyenne, preachers, shopkeepers, and the hard prejudices of the 1860s border.
It ran six seasons on CBS, and Jane Seymour took home a Golden Globe for the lead. This is a family Western that cares more about medicine, tolerance, and a woman's place in the Old West than about shootouts. A good pick if you like warm period series with a backbone.
