Synopsis
Alien Nation (1989) is a sci-fi cop series you can watch online on iFILM. A ship hauling a quarter-million enslaved aliens crash-lands in the Mojave, and the "Newcomers" are left to build lives in a wary Los Angeles.
Detective Matthew Sikes (Gary Graham) loses his partner in a shootout with an alien gang, then gets paired with George Francisco (Eric Pierpoint), a Newcomer himself. The two grind past their mistrust while chasing strange deaths and an older riddle: why did the aliens obey their former masters so blindly. Sikes also drifts into an awkward romance with Cathy, a Newcomer who lives nearby.
The show grew out of the 1988 feature and was developed by Kenneth Johnson, the mind behind V. Under the buddy-cop format sits a blunt conversation about race and immigration — heavy-handed at moments, but it means every word.
