The Mighty Nein (2025) is an adult animated fantasy series you can watch online on iFILM. Seven fugitives, con artists and outcasts fall in together by accident, then realize the fate of a whole realm rests on them. An arcane relic called the Beacon — powerful enough to bend reality itself — has slipped into the wrong hands.

The voice cast is the Critical Role crew, led by Laura Bailey, Liam O'Brien, Travis Willingham and Matthew Mercer, joined by Lucy Liu, Ming-Na Wen, Mark Strong and Anjelica Huston. Every member of the group drags along old scars and buried secrets: some run from their past, others from the law, and this ragged band learns to trust one another under fire. The further the hunt for the Beacon pulls them, the higher the stakes climb and the thinner the line between criminals and genuine heroes.

The show grew out of Critical Role's second Dungeons & Dragons campaign, from the same studio behind The Legend of Vox Machina. The animation hits harder, the humor lands older, and the characters are written well enough that you're truly rooting for them by the end.
