Watson comes back from Afghanistan with a limp and no idea what to do with himself. Sherlock Holmes has spent years perfecting the art of having no one to talk to. A mutual acquaintance puts them both in a flat on Baker Street, and within hours a serial suicide case lands on their doorstep. Episode two takes them into a network of hidden symbols and a deadly smuggling operation. Episode three raises the stakes entirely — a shadowy game-player starts setting timed puzzles with human lives as forfeit, and for the first time Sherlock meets something he wasn't prepared for.
