RIPLEY (Season 1)

RIPLEY (2024) is a crime limited series written and directed by Steven Zaillian, based on Patricia Highsmith's novels — stream all episodes online on iFILM. Andrew Scott plays Tom Ripley, a small-time New York grifter in 1960 who is hired to travel to Italy and bring a wealthy man's wayward son back home. He arrives. He does not hurry.

Tom meets Dickie Greenleaf and his girlfriend Marge (Dakota Fanning), and finds he wants the life more than the job. What follows moves between Italian sun and shadow at a pace that is closer to Highsmith's prose than to conventional thriller plotting. Shot entirely in black and white with near-architectural framing, each of the eight episodes has the look of a mid-century crime photograph. Scott plays Ripley as a man whose talent for pretending runs so deep he may have forgotten there is something underneath.
