Synopsis
Darkness (2002) is a Spanish-American horror film directed by Jaume Balagueró — watch it online on iFILM. Anna Paquin plays Regina, a teenage girl whose family has just moved into a large old house in rural Spain that sat empty for nearly four decades.
The youngest child starts seeing figures in the corners. He won't sleep, bruises appear on his arms. Their father (Ian Glen) begins to behave strangely — not dramatically, but in small shifts that keep adding up. Balagueró frames it through darkness itself: the house seems to lose light with every passing day, as though something is actively consuming it ahead of the coming solar eclipse. Lena Olin and Giancarlo Giannini round out the cast.
