Synopsis
Mr. Sunshine (2011) is an American sitcom you can watch online on iFILM, co-created by and starring Matthew Perry as Ben Donovan, manager of a second-rate San Diego sports arena.
Ben turns forty and does not take it quietly. His boss Crystal — arena owner, wildly unpredictable — is played by Allison Janney, who steals every room she enters. Alice, the marketing director, is Ben's casual something-more; Alonzo, a former basketball player, radiates the kind of effortless contentment that Ben finds deeply irritating; and his assistant Heather is notable mainly for having set a boyfriend on fire. The arena books rodeos, circuses, and the occasional professional catastrophe — many of Ben's own making.
One season, thirteen episodes. Perry's Ben is a post-Friends Chandler who never had a Monica to keep him honest — sharper, more self-aware, and not particularly happier for it. Stream Mr. Sunshine online on iFILM.
