About

Synopsis

Barely Legal (2003) is a teen comedy co-produced in the US and Germany that you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by David Mickey Evans, it stars Eric von Detten and Vince Vieluf, with Tom Arnold and Amy Smart in supporting turns. Runtime is 92 minutes.

Deacon, Matt and Fred are high-school classmates who lose their access to bootleg tapes when Deacon gets fired from the video shop. Their solution is immediate and, by their logic, obvious: shoot their own film in the basement and cast it themselves. The casting process quickly spirals well beyond anything they anticipated and generates most of the film's comedy.

Tagline: "They couldn't rent it, so they made it themselves." That sums up both the plot and the film's general approach — low ambition, honest laughs, and enough mid-2000s teen-movie energy to carry its 92 minutes without outstaying its welcome. Stream Barely Legal (2003) online on iFILM.
