Breakin' All the Rules

Breakin' All the Rules (2004) is a romantic comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Jamie Foxx plays Quincy, an aspiring writer who gets dumped by his fiancée and channels the heartbreak into a how-to book on doing the breakup right.

The guide becomes an unlikely bestseller, and Quincy settles happily into his new role as guru of the battle of the sexes. He agrees to coach his smooth-talking cousin Evan (Morris Chestnut), then loses his own head over the gorgeous Nikki (Gabrielle Union) — who, as it happens, is sharper than every strategist in the room combined. From there it's a tangle of schemes where everyone is playing someone and ends up played in turn. It's light, undemanding stuff, carried by Foxx's charm and by how neatly every character breaks the rules they swear by. Good for an easygoing night when you don't want to think much.
