Synopsis

Emilia gets what she wanted: Jack, the marriage, the new life. Then their infant daughter dies, and the film quietly pivots to what comes after joy collapses. She tries to connect with William, Jack's guarded, difficult son from his first marriage, while his ex-wife (Lisa Kudrow) keeps asserting her presence in ways that are hard to argue against.
