Synopsis
Naked Among Wolves (Nackt unter Wölfen, 2015) is a German war drama you can watch online on iFILM. In the final weeks of the war, prisoners at the Buchenwald camp find a three-year-old boy hidden inside a new arrival's suitcase.
Sheltering the child breaks every camp rule and risks the uprising the inmates have spent months preparing in secret. Handing him to the SS means certain death. Veteran prisoner Hans Pippig and his barrack decide to protect the boy — and suddenly their secret rests in dozens of hands.
Director Philipp Kadelbach adapts Bruno Apitz's celebrated novel, written by a real Buchenwald survivor and already filmed as a 1963 DEFA classic. He keeps the heroism quiet: rescue here is daily risk taken by ordinary men, not a grand gesture. Florian Stetter, Sylvester Groth and Sabin Tambrea lead the cast. Heavy but essential viewing.
