Synopsis
Trash Humpers (2010) is Harmony Korine's experimental provocation, available to watch online on iFILM. The whole thing is shot on degraded VHS, staged to look like a tape someone dug out of a ditch.
A handful of old people in rubber masks roam the night-time edges of Nashville. They smash televisions, light fires, cackle, and — true to the title — hump the trash cans. There's no plot and barely a cast, just a self-recorded log of their aimless, ugly antics. Korine builds the film as a deliberate fake: a fragment of someone else's home video with no context and no apology.
This isn't a cozy night in — it's an art object and a dare, a portrait of America's underside made as an anti-movie. It rewards viewers chasing Korine, lo-fi texture and transgressive art; everyone else can stop at the trailer. An honest warning instead of a sales pitch. Stream Trash Humpers (2010) online on iFILM.
