Synopsis
Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead (1995) is a neo-noir crime drama you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Gary Fleder and led by Andy Garcia as Jimmy the Saint — an ex-gangster trying to stay out of the life by running a small video business.
One debt pulls him back. A crime boss known only as The Man with the Plan (Christopher Walken, barely raising his voice and terrifying for it) offers Jimmy a clean slate in exchange for a single job. Jimmy assembles four old associates — played by William Forsythe, Treat Williams, Bill Nunn and Steve Buscemi — and the operation goes wrong in the worst possible way. What follows is the men waiting, separately, for the consequences to arrive.
The film landed in 1995 next to Pulp Fiction, and critics spent years treating it as an also-ran. That undersells it. Fleder's version is quieter and more melancholy — Jimmy genuinely wants out, and Garcia plays that without sentimentality. The ensemble scenes between the five men carry more weight than most crime films manage with twice the budget. Stream Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead online on iFILM.
