Synopsis
Paradise Lost 2: Revelations (2000) is the documentary by Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky, ready to watch online on iFILM. It picks up the notorious case of three murdered boys from West Memphis where the first film left off.
The directors return to what happened in Arkansas back in 1994, when three eight-year-olds were found dead in a wooded creek and three local teenagers — Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin and Jessie Misskelley — were locked up for it. Fresh interviews fill the runtime: the convicted men speak from prison, and so do the trial judge and the detectives who built the case. A whole thread follows John Mark Byers, stepfather of one victim, whose on-camera conduct raises more questions than it answers.
This is the middle chapter of a trilogy that kept the West Memphis Three story alive for years and ultimately fed the push to reopen the verdicts. A heavy, probing look at how fear and rumors of devil worship stood in for actual evidence. Stream Paradise Lost 2: Revelations (2000) online on iFILM.
