Synopsis

Henry's Crime (2010) — watch online the laid-back crime comedy directed by Malcolm Venville, with Keanu Reeves as the most passive man in Buffalo, Vera Farmiga as the actress he falls for, and James Caan as the veteran con who knows every angle. It's the kind of film that shouldn't work as well as it does.

Henry Tufts collects tolls for a living. When a vague acquaintance asks him to wait outside a bank and then robs it, Henry ends up serving three years for something he had zero part in. Out of prison, he discovers a tunnel running directly beneath that same bank. The logic clicks: he already did the time, so he might as well do the crime. Getting into the vault means sneaking through the theatre directly above the tunnel — which is how he meets Julie, mid-rehearsal and immediately suspicious of him.

Reeves plays Henry's blankness as a feature rather than a bug: the character is so placid he barely registers danger, which makes his quiet determination oddly charming. Caaan is clearly having a good time. Stream Henry's Crime (2010) online on iFILM.
