Synopsis
Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer (2007) is a Canadian horror-action-comedy you can watch online on iFILM. As a kid, Jack saw a creature tear his family apart. The rage never left — and neither did the nagging girlfriend or the therapy that goes nowhere.
By day he fixes pipes; he's the local plumber, scowling through night classes he barely tolerates. Then his professor (Robert Englund, horror's own Freddy Krueger) cracks open an ancient curse buried in some corroded plumbing and swells into a tentacled monster. Trevor Matthews plays a hero who'd rather swing a wrench than talk about his feelings. Director Jon Knautz keeps it short, gory and tongue-in-cheek, built on rubber-suit effects and buckets of goo — a late-night creature feature for people who like their scares with a laugh.
