Synopsis
Kill Me Again (1989) is a lean neo-noir thriller you can watch online on iFILM. A down-on-his-luck Reno private eye takes a job no honest man would: stage a beautiful stranger's death and give her a clean new identity. The pay is good. The questions are best left unasked.
Jack Andrews (Val Kilmer) has no idea his client Faye (Joanne Whalley) just ran off with a fortune stolen from the mob, ditching her unhinged partner Vince (Michael Madsen) in the process. The fake-murder con goes off flawlessly. Then Faye vanishes without paying, and Jack is left holding the bag — the cops are circling, the mob wants its money, and Vince wants both the cash and the woman who burned him.
This is an early film from director John Dahl, who'd later sharpen the same desert-noir edge in The Last Seduction. It trades flash for tension: a story where everyone lies and the femme fatale is deadlier than the men chasing her. Kilmer and Whalley were a real-life couple, and that heat shows.
