The Last Seduction

The Last Seduction (1994) is a neo-noir thriller directed by John Dahl — watch it online on iFILM. Bridget, played by Linda Fiorentino, walks out on her husband the same afternoon he closes a drug deal, taking the entire million in cash with her. She picks a small upstate New York town to disappear into, invents a new name, and immediately zeroes in on a local man named Mike (Peter Berg) who she decides is useful.

Mike thinks he's fallen into an affair. He hasn't figured out that Bridget already has the next three moves planned. Back in the city, her husband (Bill Pullman) is not staying quiet about the money.

Fiorentino's performance is what makes this film stand apart from the neo-noir crowd of the 1990s — she plays Bridget without a trace of ambivalence or conscience, completely in control of every scene.
