The Righteous Gemstones (2019) is Danny McBride's HBO comedy series you can watch online on iFILM. It follows a mega-church televangelist dynasty — the Gemstone family — whose faith-built empire runs on greed, ego, and spectacularly bad decisions.

John Goodman anchors the show as Eli Gemstone, the silver-haired patriarch trying to hold everything together while his grown children tear it apart. Jesse (McBride) cuts shady deals and covers up scandals, Judy (Edi Patterson) fights for respect she keeps undermining herself, and baby brother Kelvin (Adam Devine) leads a gang of so-called Christian warriors. Every season piles on new disasters — blackmail, gunfights, family coups — wrapped in the language of scripture and the logic of a crime show.

McBride and co-directors Jody Hill and David Gordon Green built something sharper than a simple satire: the Gemstones are absurd, but their damage is real.
