Synopsis
Dragon Quest: Your Story (2019) is a Japanese animated fantasy film you can watch online on iFILM. The story follows Luca, who grows up knowing his mother was taken by the sorcerer Ladja. Reclaiming her means finding the legendary Zenithian Sword, a weapon only the chosen hero can wield. The film compresses the original game's multi-generational arc into about 100 minutes: childhood adventure, a marriage, parenthood, and genuine stakes that the source material's fans still argue about. Takeru Sato voices Luca, with a supporting cast that includes Yui Aragaki and Koichi Yamadera.
Yamazaki's team built the monster battles with the kind of detail that rewards people who grew up with the games — Slimes, Goodybags, a Zoma encounter staged to land properly.
