Synopsis
The Smell of Us (2015) is a provocative French drama from Larry Clark that you can watch online on iFILM. The camera trails a clique of Paris skateboarders burning through their youth on drugs, casual sex and long, aimless days on the city's pavement.
At the center is Math, a fair-haired teenager who sells his own body while staying coldly detached from everyone around him — his mother, the friend obsessed with him, his paying clients. Clark, the filmmaker behind the notorious Kids, once again shoots adolescence with no gloss: near-documentary, physical and almost unbearably close. This is heavy arthouse cinema, not an easy watch — it deliberately strips away any safe distance and leaves you uncomfortable.
