Synopsis
The Players Club (1998) is Ice Cube's writing-and-directing debut, a comedy-drama you can watch online on iFILM. Diana, a single mom putting herself through college, takes a job dancing at a club called the Players Club to make rent.
The fast cash comes with strings. Owner Dollar Bill guards every dollar, gangster St. Louis wants his cut and carries a gun to back the request, and Diana's reckless cousin Ebony sinks into a far uglier hustle. One bad night ties all of it together.
Cube fills the cast with talent on the way up — Jamie Foxx, Bernie Mac, Terrence Howard and Michael Clarke Duncan all turn up before they were famous.
