Synopsis
Goodbye First Love (Un amour de jeunesse, 2011) is Mia Hansen-Løve's quiet French drama, and you can watch it online on iFILM. Camille is fifteen and completely consumed by Sullivan. He's leaving for months in South America, and the summer they share will be their last together.
Lola Créton carries the film, saying more in silence than most actors manage with a page of dialogue. The breakup doesn't end the feeling — it stretches across years. Camille grows up, trains as an architect, falls for an older man, and still keeps brushing against the past. Hansen-Løve isn't after plot twists. She films the passing of time itself: changing seasons, cities, haircuts, the slow business of becoming who you are.
This is a soft, deeply personal movie for anyone drawn to French cinema without big gestures, in the lineage of Rohmer and Olivier Assayas. Skip it if you want a fast story; stay for the light, the pauses, and what's left once first love walks away. Stream Goodbye First Love (2011) online on iFILM.
