Bionic Woman (Season 1)

Bionic Woman (2007) is a sci-fi action series you can watch online on iFILM. Bartender Jaime Sommers is already stretched thin raising her teenage sister when a brutal car crash nearly kills her. Surgeons pull her back with experimental implants — and she wakes up with a body rebuilt into a weapon.

The bill comes from the Berkut Group, a murky outfit straddling private money and government work, and now Jaime (Michelle Ryan) has to repay it through field missions while learning to control inhuman strength, speed and hearing. Her toughest problem is Sarah Corvus (Katee Sackhoff of Battlestar Galactica), the program's first subject, who slipped her leash and went rogue. Miguel Ferrer and Isaiah Washington fill out the cast.

This is a darker, post-millennium reboot of the cult 1970s show. The writers' strike cut it down to thirteen episodes, so the story never reaches a real ending — come for the kinetic action and for Sackhoff, not for a tidy resolution. Stream the series Bionic Woman (2007) online on iFILM.
