Synopsis
The Tunnel (2013), Season 1 — a ten-part Sky/Canal+ crime thriller you can watch online on iFILM. A body turns up at the exact midpoint of the Channel Tunnel, straddling the border, and two nations are forced to share the case.
The hook is grim and precise. The corpse lies so that one half sits under French law and the other under British, which drops detectives Karl Roebuck and Elise Wassermann into an alliance neither one wants. Then the real horror surfaces: the killer isn't after money. Calling himself the Truth Terrorist, he stages a sequence of "truths," each one a cruel public lesson about a social wound — neglected pensioners, ignored migrants, a country looking away. Every new act widens the panic across both coasts and pulls Karl's own family closer to the line of fire.
