Her Alibi

Her Alibi (1989) is a romantic comedy with a murder-mystery twist you can watch online on iFILM. Trolling courtrooms for inspiration, he falls hard for Nina, a Romanian beauty on trial for murder.

Phil decides to give the stranger a fake alibi and whisks her off to his Connecticut country house, half hoping her story will jolt his imagination back to life. The longer they stay together, the more uneasy he gets: Nina throws knives a little too well and stays a little too calm around danger. He can no longer tell whether he rescued an innocent woman or invited a real killer into his home.

Director Bruce Beresford keeps things featherlight, with half the gags springing from Phil's morbid daydreams about his own grisly death.
