Synopsis
Hamlet 2 (2008) — watch online the American comedy directed by Andrew Fleming, with Steve Coogan playing Dana Marschz, a spectacularly failed actor who ended up teaching high school drama in Tucson and now has one last shot at relevance.
When the drama program faces the axe, Marschz decides to write and stage an original sequel to Shakespeare's Hamlet — a time-travel musical where Hamlet, Jesus Christ, and a machine share the same plot. His wife (Catherine Keener) has stopped believing in him, his students are largely hostile, and Amy Poehler shows up as a civil-liberties lawyer once the school administration gets a look at the script.
Fleming keeps the film moving on Coogan's commitment to the bit. Marschz is delusional, pathetic and oddly earnest, and that combination lands most of its jokes. Elisabeth Shue appears as herself in a comic supporting turn. Stream Hamlet 2 (2008) online on iFILM.
