Synopsis
Sankarea: Undying Love (2012) is a Japanese anime comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Furuya Chihiro has exactly one passion: zombies. He owns the figures, only watches the movies, and has spent years dreaming of a zombie girlfriend. When his cat dies, he starts brewing a resurrection potion in an old well.
That is where he runs into Rea Sanka — the daughter of a controlling, obsessive father who has kept her locked away her whole life. Desperate to escape, she drinks Furuya's strange elixir. It does not kill her. But after she falls from a cliff, she comes back as exactly what Furuya always wanted — and now neither of them knows what to do next.
Based on the manga by Mitsuru Hattori, the series was produced by Studio Deen. What makes it land is the tonal balance: the horror elements are real enough to matter, but the story stays grounded in two lonely kids figuring out something genuinely strange.
