Synopsis
A Company Man (회사원, 2012) is a South Korean crime thriller — stream it online on iFILM. So Ji-sub plays Hyeon-do, a contract killer whose cover is a mid-level office job at a metal trading firm. The real company is an assassination outfit that treats its hired hands as disposable: make one mistake, and you're the next target.
When a colleague named Ra-hoon is marked for elimination, Hyeon-do lets him go — then agrees to deliver the man's savings to the family he's leaving behind. One visit to that family, and something in Hyeon-do's calculus shifts. Lee Mi-yeon plays the widowed mother with a restraint that makes the scenes land harder than any action sequence. Hyeon-do can't explain why protecting these strangers matters to him, but he can't walk away either, and the company isn't going to let it slide.
Director Lim Sang-yoon paces the film the way Korean genre cinema does it best: tight, unsentimental, and sharp in its action beats. The fight choreography is brutal and purposeful. What sets it apart from a standard hitman film is that the moral reckoning feels earned rather than tacked on. Watch A Company Man (2012) online on iFILM.
