Thunderbirds (2004) — watch online on iFILM. Director Jonathan Frakes adapted Gerry Anderson's beloved 1960s British puppet series as a live-action family film. The Tracy family runs International Rescue, a secret high-tech organisation led by former astronaut Jeff Tracy, played by Bill Paxton, and equipped with some of the most elaborate rescue vehicles ever put on screen.

Teenager Alan Tracy, played by Brady Corbet, is always left behind on Tracy Island while his older brothers handle the dangerous missions. When the villain The Hood, played by Ben Kingsley, traps the team on their orbital station and takes over their base, Alan gets his chance. Anthony Edwards rounds out the adult cast. The film is cheerful, fast-paced, and unambitious — which is its charm. Kids who have never seen the original will enjoy it; fans of Anderson's marionettes will enjoy it for different reasons.
