Synopsis
A Map of the World (1999) is an American drama you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Scott Elliott. Alice Goodwin is a school nurse and dairy farmer's wife in rural Wisconsin — and within weeks she goes from quiet life to two separate legal nightmares.
A two-year-old girl drowns on Alice's property while she's supposed to be watching her. The town doesn't forgive. Then a student at her school accuses her of abuse. Alice ends up in jail, her husband can't raise bail, and the community that once tolerated her eccentricities now wants her gone for good.
Her closest friend — the one whose child just died — is the only person who won't walk away. Sigourney Weaver holds every frame without reaching for easy sympathy; Julianne Moore makes the friendship the emotional core. David Strathairn and Chloe Sevigny round out the cast.
