Walking with Dinosaurs (Season 1)
AMAZING DIGITAL EFFECTS BRING A LOST WORLD TO LIFE.
Synopsis
Walking with Dinosaurs (1999) is a BBC natural history series you can watch online on iFILM, narrated by Kenneth Branagh.
The BBC Natural History Unit spent three years producing six episodes that span more than 150 million years, from the Triassic to the last days of the Cretaceous. Every animal behavior was grounded in the paleontological evidence then available — CGI and animatronics placed the creatures into real locations rather than sets, and the production treated scientific accuracy as a hard constraint, not a suggestion. Brachiosaurus, Utahraptor, and Triceratops move through their world as if filmed by a wildlife crew.
At release it was the most expensive documentary the BBC had ever produced, and it reset expectations for nature television. Still shown in classrooms today. Watch all episodes of Walking with Dinosaurs online on iFILM.
