Rush

Rush (1991) is a grim undercover crime drama you can watch online on iFILM. Two narcotics cops sink deep into the drug trade of a small Texas town to bring down a dealer named Gaines.

Jim Raynor (Jason Patric) is the seasoned hand; Kristen Cates (Jennifer Jason Leigh) is the rookie he picks for the job. To hold their cover, they start using the product — and the habit quietly closes around both of them. Romance complicates the assignment, the addiction complicates everything, and Gaines stays just out of reach. Bluesman Gregg Allman plays the dealer.

This was Lili Fini Zanuck's directing debut, adapted from former agent Kim Wozencraft's memoir and carried by a haunting Eric Clapton score. It refuses to glamorize any of it: the chase for a dealer slowly becomes a chase for the next fix. Watch Rush online on iFILM.
